Produced using the fruit of 25 year old Malbec vines located in Mendoza’s well regarded Lujan du Cuyo sub-zone of production this “Walter Y Pablo” Malbec was vinified at the Bressia winery in two specially bought 25,000 litres stainless steel tanks and saw no oak maturation, before the addition of 10% of Walter’s own “Monteagrelo” Malbec (which had seen around 9 months in a mix of French and American oak). Subsequently bottled in France, this 2014 “Walter Y Pablo” Malbec was intentionally released young to capture the vibrant fruitiness of young Malbec at its best.
A fairly intense ruby colour in the glass, vivid tinges of purple show both this “Walter Y Pablo” Malbec’s relative youth and lack of oak maturation.
Beautifully fragrant on the nose, this wine offers a wonderful array of floral and fruit aromas. Notes of violets, freshly picked and perfectly ripe plums and delectable blueberry tones make this wine so enticing. |
